Asia championship will not take place in China in 2023
Because of his strict zero-corona policy, China will give up the football asian championships planned for the coming year.
As the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced, China informed the association about being able to host the tournament as planned.
"The AFC recognizes the extraordinary circumstances caused by the Covid 19 pandemic," it said. Details on the next steps would be announced in due course.
The competition with 24 national teams should have taken place in ten Chinese cities from June 16 to July 16, 2023.

Against the background of the strict measures, China had already announced the shift in the Asia games. The athletics competitions should have been held in September in the Hangzhou East Chinese metropolis.
