High School Student Swordsmanship, 'The 3rd Vocational High School Game Development Contest' begins
The final stage of the ‘2022 3rd Vocational High School IT Job UP Game Development Contest’, hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and hosted by the Future Contents Foundation, has opened.
According to the Future Contents Foundation, a total of 41 teams from 18 schools participated in this competition from June 13 to July 5. Each team submitted a plan to develop creative game contents, and 10 teams from 7 schools got an opportunity to advance to the finals through the evaluation of the Korea Game Media Association's reporters. Teams advancing to the finals will begin game development in earnest for 6 weeks from July 21st, and on July 27th, one-to-one-time programs that can enhance practical competencies in programming along with team mentoring of incumbent game developer seniors affiliated with the Korea Game Developers Association. Day special lectures will be held.
In this regard, an official from the foundation said, Thanks to the high expectations and interest of students for the third tournament, the participation rate and the level of proposals submitted by each team are continuously increasing. I hope that the students will learn a lot through the one-day special lectures and mentoring that will be held thereafter.
Meanwhile, this competition, which marks its 3rd anniversary this year, is an event to help vocational high school students who dream of becoming game developers improve their vocational skills and prepare a job portfolio. The final contest will be held on September 07 with offline exhibitions and contests.
